This is an early update because I like people, Especially you Danny! =)

“Sebastian?”

“Mm.”

“How long would it be before your mom comes back?”

Sebastian turned over to glance at his alarm clock. It blinked 10:43.

“Just a little over an hour.” He murmured as he sat up, pushing the sheets away.

“Where are you going?” Kurt mumbled.

“To take a shower.” Sebastian grinned. “Wanna join?”

Kurt snorted. “Still kinda tired. Go ahead. You have my permission to think about me while you’re in there.” Kurt’s head was turned to this side, so Sebastian won’t see the wide smile forming on his lips.

“Like you’re the only person I’ve ever slept with!” Sebastian retorted, feeling scandalized.

“Maybe not, but you’ll have to admit, Sebastian. I’m the best.” Kurt gave a little sinister laugh before turning to face the other side of the bed completely. Sebastian’s eyes narrowed, he stumbled when he tried to stand up.

“You can’t even stand straight.” Kurt laughed really hard this time.

Sebastian can’t help but smile to himself. “Well played. Kurt Hummel. Well played.”

He kissed Kurt on the cheek before grabbing a towel and heading straight for the bathroom. As soon as he closed the door, He felt the smile on his lips disappear immediately. He touched his lips. The gravity of what he just did weighed on him. “Shit.” He muttered.

What the fuck did he just do? A kiss on the lips meant nothing. But a kiss on the cheek. It sounds so horrible, almost like what boyfriends do. Sebastian was hyperventilating. He started picturing Kurt’s eyes snapping open, his hand resting on his cheek and thinking the same things.

Sebastian gulped. He  exhaled through his nose. He pushed the bathroom door just a tiny bit. The door creaked, Sebastian cursed under his breath. He peeked in the gap to see Kurt facing the bed. Kurt’s back shining with sweat, his arms and legs spread out. Sebastian breathed out a sigh of relief. Maybe he’ll bring it up with Kurt later… or not. He stepped in the shower and turned the water on, willing the hot water would wash away all the questions that burned inside his head.

-

He got back to his room and was greeted by the sight of Kurt wrapped cozily in the warm sheets. Sebastian opened a drawer and threw a piece of clothing that landed on Kurt’s face.

“What the hell?” Kurt suddenly blushed when he saw the piece of clothing to was actually a pair of boxers.

Sebastian gave a smug grin. “You’re welcome.”

Kurt put on the boxers under the sheets while Sebastian dried his hair with the towel. Sebastian pulled open some drawers to look for a nice shirt to wear to lunch later.

“Can I ask you a personal question?” Kurt began.

Sebastian felt his heart stop for a mili-second, but he still pretended to continue rummaging through his drawer to distract himself. “Okay… shoot.”

“Have you ever had a… boyfriend?” Kurt hesitated, biting his lip as if he wanted to bite back the words.

Sebastian merely shrugged as he finally chose a green polo shirt. “Depends. Is sleeping with people more than once considered a boyfriend?”

Kurt gave an amused laugh. “Boyfriend, Sebastian. You know. Someone who you see yourself with for a very long time? Someone you… fell In love with?” Sebastian wasn’t sure if Kurt seemed to stress the world or if the word love chose to stood out because it came from Kurt’s mouth.

Sebastian began buttoning up the shirt. “I don’t do that, Kurt.”

“You can’t even say it.” Kurt was fighting from laughing out loud, although he can’t stop few giggles escaping.

Sebastian sighed. This wasn’t going to be easy.

“I don’t love…” He made it sound like the most disgusting thing in the world.

“Well… why not?”

“Because.” Sebastian exhaled. He felt like he was about to tell a toddler that Santa Claus did not exist. It’s just so sad really.

“Okay. Because it’s overrated. Because opening yourself to someone that would eventually hurt you in the end, is draining. Why would I put all that effort into someone that would end up disappointing me in the end?”

He didn’t notice that he was raising his voice or that he was shaking. He took a moment to calm down.

“I’m sorry. That was completely uncalled for.”

“No, it’s fine.” Even if the sincerity in Kurt’s voice was present, he did not look at Sebastian.

“I get you.” Sebastian’s head snapped up from the drawer. “Come again?”

Kurt looked at him, his blue eyes showing their old selves again.

“I get why you don’t want to have a relationship. It’s because it’s too much.” Kurt raised his hand when Sebastian wanted to say something.

“Let me finish.” Kurt took a deep breath and carried on.

“ The fights. The hurt. The feeling of being left behind. Your world revolving on one person. The feeling that one person could change the way you look at things. It’s scary, and at times, frustrating. So frustrating, sometimes you just want to run away from everything.”

Sebastian was stunned. All he could do was stare at Kurt.

Kurt, in turn, gave a weak smile.

“We’re more alike than I thought, Sebastian. But I have one more question.”

Sebastian hesitated for a bit, but nodded.

“Who broke you?”

Sebastian answered in a heartbeat.

“No one.”

His voice was strained.

Kurt stood up from the bed. He approached Sebastian.

Sebastian cringed as Kurt’s gaze pierced through him. Those eyes will be the death of him.

“The truth, Sebastian.” Kurt’s eyes searched for meaning in Sebastian’s.

Sebastian sighed. He stared at the floor for quite a long time. When he did have the courage to look at Kurt, his eyes were glassy. Without hesitation, Kurt pulled Sebastian into his arms. Sebastian sent out an even deeper sigh.

“Thanks.” He muttered.

When Kurt let go, there was an unreadable expression on Sebastian’s face.

“I need to tell you something.”

“You don’t have to-”

“Kurt, I want to. I owe you that much.” He looked at Kurt with unwavering gratitude written in his face.

“My parents got divorced.”

Kurt felt a pinch of pain in his heart. He finally fully understood completely. He swallowed back the bile forming in his throat.

“For how long?”

“Since I was four.”

Sebastian’s eyes started to look worse than Kurt’s when he woke up from his hangover. Tiny little gems were streaming from them.

“I’m so sorry, Sebastian. I didn’t mean to…”

Sebastian tried to smile. “No, it’s fine. After 15 years, you kind of get used to it…”

“Do you… still know your dad?”

“Yes, Of course I do… I try my best to live up to his standards.”

Kurt somehow saw Sebastian in a brand new light. For under that hard obnoxious snarky mask that he put on, was someone who was in pain. Someone that was introduced to the real world far too early.

Kurt inched closer to Sebastian, his eyes scouring Sebastian’s helpless face.

“It’s okay, Sebastian.” Kurt held Sebastian’s hand and squeezed it tightly, a smile tugging on the corners of his lips.

“You have me.”

Sebastian gave a beam in return, somehow finding comfort in those words.

He cupped Kurt’s face, his thumb slowly stroking Kurt’s cheek.

“You really are something, Kurt.”

Kurt beamed. Before he knew it, Sebastian had leaned in to press a soft kiss on his lips. It was far from the other sloppy kisses they had. This was soft and sweet. Almost like… the first time.

In that moment, Kurt started kissing back. Somewhere in the back of his mind, he could have sworn he heard a sound of a rule breaking.

This just turned into M. really shorter than the others, but I hope it's enough for now.
----------

Sebastian’s hand felt like stone. Kurt swore he heard Sebastian swallowing really hard. Dianna’s expression shifted from confused to suddenly understanding.

“And how long?”

“For three months.” Kurt said it as if he really was dating Sebastian.

Dianna looked at Sebastian; a crease has formed between her eyebrows.

Suddenly she drew him in a tight hug. Sebastian although fully caught off guard still glared at Kurt; the look on his face seemed to say we will have a long talk about this later.

“Sebastian, honey, is this the reason why you wanted to have dinner yesterday? Why didn’t you tell me?” Sebastian’s expression turned soft when his mother pulled away.

They were already in this deep enough, mind as well take full advantage of it. Sebastian sighed. He held Kurt’s hand and smiled. “Well mom, I wanted you and dad to meet Kurt because things are getting serious between us.”

Kurt had to bite his tongue; he was trying really hard not to laugh. There wasn’t a single hint of sarcasm in Sebastian’s voice. Did he take acting lessons? Or was he just really good at lying?

Dianna turned to Kurt, it was the first time she really looked at him. She observed how Kurt had messy bed hair, his complexion was smooth and flawless. Perhaps he followed a beauty routine? But then her eyes were transfixed on Kurt’s bright blue eyes. She suddenly understood fully why Sebastian chose someone like Kurt.

Kurt cleared his throat. The sound broke Dianna’s stare. She cleared her throat as well.

“So, Why don’t we get to know each other? I’ll take you boys out to breakfast!” She said. Her tone seemed so genuinely interested. All Kurt wanted to do was hide. Sebastian’s mom was really nice, but Kurt felt he was bringing her hopes up. He made a rather large mistake.

“That’d be great mom, only Kurt already had breakfast.” Sebastian interjected. It was the truth, wasn’t it? Plus, Sebastian didn’t want Kurt to find out more about his personal life than he already knows. He made a mental note to himself that this should have been part of the rules Kurt laid out at Breadstix. Actually, there were a lot of rules Sebastian has thought about telling Kurt ever since Kurt decided to introduce himself to Sebastian’s mother as his boyfriend. Boyfriend. Sebastian hated that word. It felt like venom. It spelled out being tied down and being committed. Sebastian was disgusted at himself for even thinking of the word at the first place.

“No Problem!” Dianna interrupted Sebastian’s thoughts. “I have all day. We can go get lunch later. I would really want to get to know Kurt more.” She turned to give Kurt another smile that made Kurt want to cringe.

At the corner of Sebastian’s eye, he swore he saw Kurt take a large gulp.

On second thought, maybe this wouldn’t be such a bad idea. It was Sebastian’s turn to take control.

“You know what mom, we’re in. I’d love to tell you all about Kurt. Actually, I think Kurt would want to tell you everything. How we met, how much time we spend with each other.” Sebastian suppressed the largest urge not to laugh like the most evil person who has successfully accomplished his plan for world domination. Kurt’s nails were digging into Sebastian’s. Oooh, Fiesty.

Dianna was about to say something, when her beeper rang. She took one look at it and sighed. “I’d ave to take this honey. I still have two hours to come back. I owe you lunch? I promise.” Dianna grabbed her bag, shooting an apologetic glance at Sebastian.

Kurt felt Sebastian’s hand soften.

“Okay, see you mom.” Dianna gave one more apologetic look before rushing off the house and slamming the door. Patients first.

Sebastian let go of Kurt’ hand as soon as Dianna was out of sight. He stormed towards his room. Kurt quickly followed after. “Sebastian, wait!”

He entered the room. Sebastian had his back towards him. Kurt tentatively approached Sebastian. He put his hand over Sebastian’s right shoulder. Sebastian quickly shrugged it off.

“I’m sorry.” Kurt whispered. “I’ll… I’ll leave you alone.”

Kurt turned to leave when he felt a hand grab his wrist and pulling him in closer. He still had his back towards Sebastian. Yet he could feel Sebastian’s hot breath so close to his neck. It made him shiver.

“Don’t go.” Sebastian whispered, his voice was so low, Kurt caught himself drawing sharp breaths. Sebastian’s hand slowly travelled downward to slowly remove Kurt’s shirt. Sebastian’s fingertips brushing past Kurt’s cold pale skin. The heat lingering in the small space between them. Kurt slowly turned to face Sebastian, pulling Sebastian’s shirt up as well, pushing him to the bed.

Kurt jumped right in after him. The same villainous smile showing on his lips. He leaned in to whisper into Sebastian’s ear. “I’m going to make it up to you. You’re in for one hell of a ride.”

Sebastian scoffed. He grabbed Kurt by the shoulders, his fingernails sinking in as he turned Kurt over so he ended on top. “Not this time, Kurt.”

Sebastian began kissing Kurt’s neck, working his way down to Kurt’s chest. Kurt gripped Sebastian’s hair, letting out small moans in the process. Sebastian was just getting started. He started kissing Kurt, his tongue exploring the depths of Kurt’s mouth. Kurt tried keeping up, his tongue meeting Sebastian’s, colliding in the intenseness of the heat of the moment. They found themselves pushing each other as far as they could go.

Kurt’ hands hung on to Sebastian’s back, scratching him and willing him to come. Suddenly, Kurt turned his back on Sebastian clutching the nearest pillow he could find as he finally came.

Sebastian held Kurt as he could feel that he was about to do the same. His fingernails dug through Kurt’s skin as their bodies grinded with each other. They both felt sweat as their bodies sliding over each other. Kurt whimpered as Sebastian went inside him. His breathing became faster with even smaller intervals. The explosion and the feel of Sebastian was glorious. Kurt had to bite his tongue to control an inevitable scream of lust. Sebastian’s dick finally softened and the erotic moment has slowly stopped.

Sebastian collapsed on top of Kurt. He could feel Sebastian’s hard breath at the back of his neck.

“I told you.” Sebastian managed to say, as he rolled off Kurt’s back and lay down the other side of the bed. He was still catching up with his breath. Kurt turned to face the ceiling. He intertwined his legs with Sebastian’s. Sebastian held Kurt closely. Both of them having ragged breathing.

“Not bad, Sebastian.” Kurt said, as he put around his arm around Sebastian’s chest.

Sebastian smiled to himself.

All of a sudden, it wasn’t so lonely when Kurt was there beside him.

Chapter 5

The cool air coming out of the air condition lingered on Kurt’s face. He preferred for his eyes to remain shut. The events of last night were a complete blur. He didn’t want to remember crashing into Sebastian’s arms, or his fight with Blaine, or the throbbing pain in his head that wasn’t going any time soon. Kurt sighed and buried his head further into the pillow. Maybe if he stayed there long enough, everything else would go away.

There were two brief knocks on the door before Sebastian came in, holding a tray with a few things on it. “Hey, brought you some Aspirin and soup.” Sebastian said.

“Mmm.” Kurt stayed put. He didn’t bother to move.

Sebastian put the tray on the bedside table and sat next to Kurt’s motionless body. Kurt’s head was buried entirely on the pillow, arms and legs spread out.

“You’re gonna have to eat something before you can take the medicine.” Sebastian mumbled.

“Mm.” It was barely a reply.

Sebastian sighed, he really didn’t feel like doing this.

He propped Kurt to sit up on the bed. Kurt still determined not to open his eyes. He knew opening them would blind him.

“I hate you.” Kurt mumbled. Sebastian merely chuckled, “I hate you too.”

He picked up the bowl of soup and a spoon from the tray.

“Say ‘Ah’!” Sebastian enjoyed tormenting Kurt.

Kurt opened his eyes a tiny bit. He saw the bowl of soup Sebastian was holding and shook his head.

“You must’ve put something in there. No way I’m eating that!” Kurt crossed his arms. He was such a baby.

Sebastian rolled his eyes. “Aren’t you as helpless enough as you are now? Come on, Kurt. I know the pain in your head must be excruciating, knowing how much you must’ve drank last night. You need to take medicine for your headache but before you can take anything you need to eat something.”

Kurt groaned. He hated it when Sebastian was right. He opened his eyes. They were still a little bloodshot. “Fine, but blow on it first.”

Sebastian pressed his lips, but didn’t say anything. He blew on the spoon he was holding a couple times before saying, “There! Now ‘AH’!”

Kurt reluctantly opened his mouth, Sebastian seized the moment and fed Kurt the soup. They repeated the action a couple of times and stopped only when Kurt said he had enough.

“Not Bad.” Kurt croaked, his voice, still a little raspy.

“Uh, Thanks. It’s my mom’s recipe.” Sebastian said, handing Kurt an Aspirin and a glass of water. Kurt took the Aspirin and chugged the whole glass of water down.

“I didn’t know you could cook.”

Sebastian merely smiled, taking the tray with him. “Neither did I.” he thought.

As he made his way to the door, Kurt called out, “Sebastian.”

“Yes?” Sebastian turned around.

“Were you close to your mom?”

Sebastian bit his lip. “I used to be.” He closed the door behind him. He went straight to the kitchen and dumped the dishes to the sink and sighed. He wondered out of all the questions Kurt could’ve asked, why that one?

He didn’t like being reminded that his relationship with his mother deteriorated when his mother returned being a full time doctor three years ago. Sebastian shook the thought away, he washed the dishes and when he was through, he went back to the room to check on Kurt.

Kurt was staring at the ceiling when Sebastian opened the door slightly.

Kurt noticed him peeking in and gave a small smile. “Hey, come here.” Kurt gestured to the right side of the bed. Sebastian hesitated for a second. “Oh Please Sebastian, It’s not like I’m going to rape you or anything.” Kurt said, giving a hoarse laugh. Sebastian still remained in place.

Kurt sighed, “We already broke rule # 2, mind as well take full advantage of it.” Sebastian grinned. He crawled right to his bed and snuggled with Kurt. This was nice. For some reason, he felt just as comfortable with Kurt by his side.

“Are you going to tell me what happened last night?” Sebastian murmured.

Kurt lay his head down on Sebastian’s chest. Sebastian felt all the oxygen go out of his lungs.

“No.” Kurt whispered.

Sebastian wanted to know more, but didn’t say anything.

“Atleast, not yet.” Kurt continued, as if having sensed Sebastian’s slight disappointment.

Sebastian exhaled. He touched Kurt’s hair, playfully curling it between his fingers.

“Sebastian?”

“Mm?”

Kurt turned his head a little to face Sebastian. His eyes looked tired, but a bubbling curiosity could be found in them.

“How do you used to be close with your mother?”

Sebastian gulped. He didn’t feel like answering yet. Kurt seemed to sense this and said, “I’m sorry if that’s too personal.” He turned his head away again. They lay still a few seconds. Sebastian broke the silence.

“She’s a doctor. She’s pretty busy in the hospital. You know, patients first.” Sebastian continued to play with Kurt’s hair, his fingers grazing Kurt’s scalp. “We don’t communicate much. I know she tries. It’s just that… it seems we grew apart.” Kurt could feel Sebastian’s heartbeat and the slight ups and downs of his chest when he breathes.

“Do you still… talk to her?” Kurt felt that he was intruding, but he really was genuinely interested.

“From time to time. I only tell her the good things that happen to me. Like getting good grades and being on top of my class. She doesn’t know that I’m sleeping around and… I’d like to keep it that way.” Kurt didn’t say anything, instead he traced patterns on Sebastian’s shirt. It felt odd, two weeks ago he’d never imagine himself lying in bed with someone and feel like it was the most natural thing in the world. Let alone lay in bed with someone like Sebastian Smythe of all people. At the same time, it felt comforting to have someone be there when you needed them, even if you two were strangers just a while before.

“Thank you.” Kurt managed to say.

“For?” Sebastian already knew what for. He just wanted to hear Kurt say it out loud.

Kurt breathed a deep sigh, “For taking care of me.” He immediately wanted to take it back as soon as the words left his mouth. Sebastian laughed, “Anytime.” Kurt could feel himself melt. He closed his eyes, wanting to just stay in the moment, to hear Sebastian’s slow heartbeat against his ear. He was at peace there, nothing can ruin this.

Sebastian suddenly sat up straight, breaking Kurt’s temporary daydream.

Something wasn’t right. “What’s wrong?” Kurt said, a little surprised.

Sebastian put his index finger in front of his mouth.

“Shh. Stay here. I’ll be right back.” He stood up, making his way to the door. Kurt was sitting up, looking just as alarmed as Sebastian.

Sebastian slowly turned the doorknob, trying to make as little sound as possible. He stepped outside.

He heard footsteps in the living room.

Someone else was definitely in the house.

He heard the front door click, and the opening of the kitchen faucet.

Sebastian arrived at the kitchen, horrified at what he saw.

The person smiled and hugged him. Sebastian didn’t dare move from his spot.

“MOM?!”

Dianna Smythe smiled. “Hello honey! I decided to surprise you! I felt guilty last night for missing our dinner and as luck would have it, the patient I told you about is stable and I managed to take the whole day off.”

Sebastian stared at his mother. He was contemplating if this was just a dream or an absolute nightmare. “Mom.. I… missed you.”

Sebastian hugged her again, inhaling the sweet familiar scent of his mother’s perfume.

Dianna Smythe was beautiful. You’ll never figure out that she’s over forty. She had a welcoming smile and bright emerald eyes that were filled of hope and joy. Her blond hair was tied up in a bun, hair that Sebastian wished he inherited.

“So, tell me all about what I’ve missed. I’m dying to hear about what’s been going on with you.” Dianna said, her tone cheerful and loving.

Sebastian was about to answer when the sudden realization that Kurt was still in the house hit him. “Uhm, mom, Why don’t you make us both coffee, I uh… need to get something from my room.”

“Okay, sure dear.” As Dianna headed towards the kitchen, Sebastian found himself practically racing to his room. He opened the door to be more horrified to see an empty bed. Kurt was nowhere to be found.

Terror slowly creeped to Sebastian’s spine. Where’s Kurt?

Sebastian went back to the living room. Kurt was just going back to Sebastian’s room, he had a very confused look on his face. Sebastian grabbed him by the shoulders.

“Where did you go? My mom is inside the house!” Sebastian hissed.

Before Kurt could say anything, Dianna entered the room, holding a cup of coffee. She looked at Kurt and back to her son. “Who is this?” she said, slightly amused.

Sebastian’s mind was racing. What would his mother think?

He opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted by Kurt.

“You must be Sebastian’s mom.” Kurt held out a hand and Dianna took it, still looking confused.

“My name is Kurt Hummel. Sebastian’s boyfriend.” Kurt said, letting go slowly of Dianna’s hand and taking Sebastian’s.

“Breadstix, 12:15”

Sebastian can’t wipe the stupid smile off his face as he continued to answer the surprise quiz on his English subject. It’s not because of the fact that the test was easy, but because he had these weird warm feeling inside. Like he had something amazing to look forward to later.

He stood up and handed in his paper ten minutes before the time. Miss Camille gave him a warm smile. She was one of the few who actually liked him. “In a hurry today, Mr. Smythe?” Sebastian grinned. “Kind of. I’m off to meet someone.” Miss Camille nodded. “Best not to keep him waiting then.” Sebastian really liked her. She was so motherly-like. She wasn’t like the rest.

He was out of Dalton, got on his car and drove towards Breadstix.

He arrived with time to spare. He got out of the car and made his way towards the door. The chimes attached to the door rang as he entered. He was looking for an empty table when he spotted Kurt sitting on the one nearest to the window.

He approached him trying to hide the smile that has been plastered on his face ever since their meeting at the library. “Hey.”

Kurt looked up from texting, “Oh hey. You’re early.” Sebastian took a seat across from Kurt and said, “Well, so are you.” He noticed how Kurt tried to smile but instantly looked down, trying not to meet his eyes. It was unsettling. “Something wrong?” The words escaped Sebastian’s mouth before he could think of it. Kurt’s eyebrows formed a crease when he turned to look at Sebastian, “Nothing.”

He gave another weak smile. Sebastian could see through Kurt’s failed attempts at hiding what he really felt. Something was definitely up, but he didn’t want to push Kurt for more. He felt a little guilty for asking, it wasn’t his place. Kurt cleared his throat, “So, how did that paper go?” Sebastian gave his signature smile. “It went great. You should have seen the way my teacher, Mr. Garcia, looked when I handed it in. His nerves looked like they were going to pop out from his forehead!”  Kurt laughed at the image he formed in his head. “You are so mean!” He said, still laughing. “But in a good way.”

A smile started to surface on Sebastian’s lips. He liked the way Kurt laughs. He wants to be the one to do it more often. The food arrived. Sebastian looked at Kurt, a little confused. “Oh, I ordered for both of us. I didn’t want to waste time.” Sebastian nodded and started twirling his fork around the spaghetti on his plate.

“It’s cool. So, mind telling me what you were so upset about?” Sebastian took a big bite. He wished he would choke on it. He just threw the question out there, like Kurt would want to be bothered with it.

Kurt merely shrugged, “Just… Blaine.” Kurt ate his spaghetti, chewing silently as he faced Sebastian.

Blaine. Sebastian started hating the mention of his name. Especially when it has been connected twice to Kurt’s sadness. “What are you really?” Kurt dropped his fork. “Pardon?” Sebastian crossed his arms, “You and Blaine. You’re not friends and you’re not boyfriends, What are you?”

Kurt flushed, “That’s none of your business.” Sebastian smiled, “Okay then, what are we?

Kurt’s eyes widened with disbelief, “What? Where is this coming from?”

Sebastian gave him a smug smile, “You heard me. You said ‘No fluffy relationship stuff’ but here we are, talking about my day.” Sebastian took another bite of his spaghetti, turning his head slightly, signaling Kurt to speak.

Kurt put his palms over his eyes slowly rubbing them in the process. He sighed, “Okay, I may have broken rule # 2 by asking you out. I just…” His eyes stared at Sebastian. “I guess I just wanted your company, seeing you in the library earlier made it so easy. At first I wanted to apologize for the other night, but I don’t know, maybe I’d like to get to know you more?” He turned his eyes away biting his lip, expecting the worst.

A week ago, Sebastian would have stood up and said, “Deal’s off.” But Kurt Hummel made him feel different. He made Sebastian long for more. Not just sex, but what Kurt Hummel had to give. He realized he did want to know Kurt Hummel more. It was something new but also scary at the same time.

“Okay.” Kurt’s eyes widened, “Okay?”

A smile pulled at the corners of his mouth. Sebastian spoke up, “But the rules stay. Whatever it is between us, no one will know. Neither of us gets to fall in love with the other. The only change is we get to have each other, for company.” He puts out his hand over the the table and raises his eyebrow slightly. “Do we have a deal?” Kurt half smiled. “Deal.”

                                                                                                -------

Tonight was one of those nights Sebastian wished his parents were home. It felt so lonely in a big house although he eventually got used to it, he still wanted someone to be there for him.

Sebastian was ready to go to bed, when the doorbell rang. Could it have been his mother? But she said she won’t make it tonight. Sebastian rushed to the door eagerly opening it, his mouth suddenly dropping when he saw the person standing in front of him was not the person he was expecting at all.

“Kurt, What are you doing here?” Kurt stared up at him with swollen eyes. Sebastian didn’t understand. “I need you, Please.” Sebastian could smell the alcohol from Kurt’s breath. Kurt slowly put his hand under  Sebastian’s shirt, Slowly making its way towards his chest. Kurt’s mouth was grazing Sebastian’s neck giving in to Sebastian and begging him to take him back. “Please.” Kurt’s voice was small against Sebastian’s racing heartbeat. Sebastian found himself pulling away. He held Kurt’s hands in both of his. He found Kurt staring up at him, his eyes were bloodshot. They weren’t the ones he saw that night. These eyes were a darker shade of grey.

“Kurt, you’re drunk.” Sebastian said as Kurt’s body shook against him. “Why can’t you do this for me.” Kurt’s eyes continued to stare at Sebastian, tears streaming down from them.

“Because I agreed to do this right this time.” Kurt collapsed into Sebastian’s chest. Continuous sobs escaping from his lips. Sebastian could do nothing but hold him there. He didn’t want to ask why. He held him, stroking his hair a couple of times until he calmed down. Kurt pulled away.

“Can I- stay for the night?” His voice was weak. “Ofcourse.” Sebastian led Kurt to his bedroom, Kurt struggling to walk with proper balance. He lay down in Sebastian’s bed, his eyelids drooping.

Share with me the blankets that you’re wrapped in, because it’s cold outside.

It’s cold outside.

Sebastian removed Kurt’s shoes and tucked him in his blankets.

Share with me the secrets that you’ve kept in, because it’s cold inside.

It’s cold inside.

“Blaine and I had a fight. I don’t think we’d be okay this time.” Kurt mumbled. Not looking at Sebastian. More tears streamed from his eyes as he turned away, trying to sleep.

Sebastian sat next to Kurt. He felt such pain for him. He wanted to make things better, to be there for him. But he didn’t have to words to make it better. Sebastian leaned in to kiss Kurt’s forehead, before standing up and retreating to the living room. He closed the door behind him as gently as possible.

Tell me, Tell me what makes you think that you are invincible.

I could see it in your eyes that you’re so sure.

Sebastian sighed as he lay down on the couch. He stared at the ceiling as if it held the answers to all his questions. He’s never felt more scared in his life before.

Please don’t tell me that I’m the only one that’s vulnerable.

Sebastian closed his eyes and inhaled deeply. Hoping that tomorrow would be better.

Impossible.

This chapter turned out longer than expected. So expect chapter 4 to be earlier. :)

Sebastian stared at the ceiling as he lay in bed in a cold Thursday night. He stopped working on his paper for literature and he wanted to rest. He reached for the remote and turned the sound system on. It was lonely enough in the house when his parents aren’t home, music seemed to serve best as his company. That is, if he hadn’t had anyone over.

He continued staring at the ceiling as the soft tunes of Adele lingered in the background. Sebastian rolled around in his bed but stopped when he caught sight of his phone.

It was positioned as if it was calling out to him. In the back of his mind he knew he wanted to. The voice in his head practically screamed, What the fuck are you waiting for?

Sebastian sighed angrily. He grabbed his phone and dialed Kurt’s number before he could change his mind. Sebastian lay back down as he pressed the phone to his ear. The phone continued to ring. Every ring felt like a stab at his ego. At the fifth ring, a voice answered. “Hello, who is this?” It was a familiar voice, but it wasn’t Kurt’s. “Hello? Kurt can’t come to the phone right now-” The voice got cut off. Sebastian heard the same voice laugh hysterically and a struggle. “For God’s sakes Blaine! Give me the damn phone.” Now that was Kurt. “Yes, Hello?” Kurt sounded breathless, perhaps even a little annoyed. Sebastian gulped, it was really Kurt this time. “Uhm… It’s me.” Sebastian could hear Kurt taking a sharp breath. “Hold on a second.” He could hear Kurt scrambling to his feet and the sound of a door closing. “Listen Sebastian, now is not exactly a good time.” Sebastian felt a slight pang in his chest, but no way in hell would he want Kurt to know. “Okay.” He hung up the phone before he could say something stupid he’ll end up regretting. He hates this feeling. Rejection is not in his vocabulary. He buried his head in his pillow inhaling and exhaling deep long breaths. He grabbed the phone again and dialed another number.

Sebastian woke up to a rude awakening. Someone decided to open the blinds. He groaned and put his pillow over his head. He heard the sliding of the bathroom door. Sebastian’s eyes fluttered wide open, “HEY! Hey! Are you using one of my towels?” The boy smiled, “Nah, brought my own. Not the first time I slept with you.” Sebastian turned back to his side. He didn’t want a morning-after conversation. “So typical of you not to answer.” “Come on Brad. It’s not like the first time you slept with me.” Sebastian gave a sleepy chuckle.

Brad was completely dressed by now. He was very fit for a high school boy. His muscles showed through the plain white shirt he was wearing. He had the boy-next-door charm and a smile that belonged to a toothpaste model. He had a tan skin tone and emerald eyes that could pierce though a person’s soul. Brad sat in bed and said, “Thanks for last night, Smythe.” He patted Sebastian’s cheek twice, Sebastian wincing in the process, before leaving the room.

As soon as he left, Sebastian turned around, rubbing the sleep off his eyes. He still had class at nine. He had to get up but the weight of his body was somehow heavier today than most days. He didn’t get it. Brad was amazing last night. It’s the reason why they had sex more than once. But why is Kurt Hummel still in his mind even after last night?

Sebastian got up and took a shower. The feel of hot water against his skin made his tense muscles relax more. He sighed as he rubbed the shampoo in his hair. He closed his eyes but sometime after, he found a pair of blue eyes staring up at him. Sebastian opened his eyes and ended up regretting it when he felt the excruciating pain when some suds of the shampoo managed to penetrate his eyes. “Fuck!” He stumbled out of the shower. He rinsed his eyes angrily using the faucet located next to the shower. He stared at his reflection. His reflection glaring back at him with pure hatred and anger. What has he gotten himself into? “Look at yourself, What happened to that guy who didn’t give a second look at the person he slept with a week ago?” He thought. He went out of the bathroom, put on his uniform and proceeded downstairs.

He made himself a sandwich with coffee on the side. He checked his phone to reveal two new voice messages. He took a bite of his sandwich, pressed listen and held the phone to his ear.

A woman’s voice Sebastian knew to well came into the phone, “Hello Sebastian. Just called to say I won’t make it to next Friday’s dinner. Your dad called me he wouldn’t make it either. I’m so sorry honey, I am stuck in the hospital right now because one of my patients being in critical condition. I hope you’re doing well. Maybe we can reschedule some other time. I love you.” Sebastian didn’t feel anything, he got so used to his parents bailing out on him so much. It felt more like routine.

Sebastian sipped his coffee as he pressed listen to the second message. He choked on his coffee as soon as he heard the voice. “Hey. It’s me. Listen I’m sorry about last night. I really didn’t expect you to call. Uhm, So lunch later? Text me if you’re available.” Sebastian’s eyes widened. Did Kurt just ask him out to lunch? And if he texted him back, was it breaking the rules? Kurt did say sex only.

Sebastian started typing in… Sure, where would but stopped mid-text and deleted the whole thing.

He wasn’t going to take the bait. He wanted control back. And as much as he wanted to see Kurt Hummel again, he needed time alone for himself. He wanted to be the old attractive guy that everyone chased after but never chases anyone. He took one last sip of coffee before dumping his cup into the kitchen sink. He reached for his bag and keys to his car, determined to go through the day without Kurt Hummel in his mind. He even left his phone at home. Just in case he has a sudden lapse of judgement again.

Once he arrived at Dalton, Jeff approaches him with a very frantic expression on his face. “Sebastian! Mr. Garcia told me the group paper we had to make that’s due two weeks from now is due today!” Sebastian gritted his teeth. Just what he needed to start his day. “Shit. I knew he was going to pull something like this. He fucking hated me from the beginning.” Jeff began panicking, “I can’t fail this Sebastian! My parents are already on my throat because of failing Math. They said if I failed another subject they won’t let me have booze anymore!” Jeff was sweating so much Sebastian took a step back. “Okay! Okay. I got an idea. I already started on it, I’m just missing five more pages. All I have to do is borrow ‘Catcher in the Rye’ in the library.” Jeff was shaking his head, “No, I already went to our library. Someone already checked it out!” Sebastian’s mind was racing. Another idea dawned on him. He grabbed the shaking Jeff by the shoulders and said, “Pull yourself together! The public library is a 10 minute walk away from here. Five minutes if I ran. Cover for me in the first period. I’ll send it to your email and you print it out. Got that?” Sebastian let go of Jeff. “Thank you, Sebastian. Thank you so much.” Jeff looked like he could kiss Sebastian right now, but Sebastian was already heading out of Dalton.

He had no time to waste, so he fucking ran. He has taken a good load of shit from teachers before but not this time. His standing in Mr. Garcia’s class was an A-. No freaking way he’d let that A turn into a B. What would Harvard people think? He climbed the steps of the library. His lungs were screaming for air, but he couldn’t give a fuck when he saw an image of a big sloppy B in his report card. Shit. What if all the copies in the public library were already checked out?

He shook the thought from his head and proceeded to the front desk. The girl in her late twenties smiled at him. “Can I help you with anything?” “Uhm yes. You… don’t happen to have a copy of ‘Catcher in the Rye’ available would you?” The girl nodded, “I’ll have to check first. Be right back.” Sebastian watched as she disappeared into the countless shelves. He began taking deep breaths. Please let there be a copy left. The girl appeared again sadly empty handed. “I’m sorry. The library only has five copies of the book, four were borrowed…” “And the fifth?” The girl looked at him with surprise. She might have thought this guy was really desperate. She pointed out to a boy whose back was turned from them just a few tables away. “Thank You!” Sebastian said breathlessly.

He moved towards the boy. He didn’t care what he had to do to get his hands on that book. He was willing to do whatever it takes. Sebastian arrived at the table, the boy was still facing away from him. The boy didn’t even notice Sebastian’s presence. Must be so in to what he was reading.

Sebastian spoke up, “I know I don’t know you, but I’d be really grateful if you could let me borrow that book you’re reading for a couple of minutes.” The boy looked up and smiled.

Sebastian inhaled sharply.

“Kurt.” The only word that managed to escape Sebastian’s lips at that moment.

“Fancy meeting you here.” He said, Sebastian still a little dumbfounded.

“Kurt?” Sebastian said again, as if he refused to believe that the person he was avoiding thinking of was right in front of him.

“Well, aren’t you going to sit down?” Kurt gestured to the chair on his left. Sebastian did as told, his hands on the table not daring to move an inch. “I’ll give the book to you. I’m just finishing reading this chapter.” Kurt said, his fingers brushing slightly on Sebastian’s while he turned the pages. Sebastian stared at Kurt’s fingers. What the fuck? Is he doing this on purpose? Kurt continued turning the pages, unaware of what he was doing to Sebastian. “Okay. Here you go.”

Sebastian made to take the book from Kurt, but Kurt’s hand held it firmly in place. Sebastian’s eyes moved from the book to Kurt. “You still haven’t answered me if you’re on for lunch.” “I-I just have a lot on my mind right now.” Sebastian gulped. Kurt sighed and released the book. Sebastian took it and started leafing through its pages. He fetched his laptop from his bag, once it turned on, he started typing furiously. Kurt stared at Sebastian, this was a whole new side of him he never thought existed.

“I didn’t know you cared that much about your studies.” Kurt mumbled as he pressed his head on the table, his eyes not leaving Sebastian. Sebastian gave a slight grump, “What made you think that?” “I don’t know. Always thought you’re rich and…” He trailed off. Sebastian gave a bitter laugh, “and dumb?” He didn’t look at Kurt, he didn’t want to stop typing. Kurt turned a little pink but gave a small laugh. “Well… Yes.” The sound of Kurt’s laugh made Sebastian want to throw the laptop away and scream, “WHY ARE YOU LIKE THAT? You must have a flaw somewhere. You must.” But instead Sebastian grinned and answered, “I’m surprised that you would actually believe in stereotypes.” Kurt wanted to hide himself in his hands, but all he could do was stare at Sebastian… In his Dalton blazer and how he seemed to be so focused on what he was doing.

Sebastian gave a heavy sigh, pressed ‘Send’ and closed his laptop. Five freaking pages in one go. He felt really pleased with himself. He turned to Kurt who was still gazing up at him, as if he was watching a very amusing show. “Now that’s over, what about that lunch?” Kurt said with a smile.

Sebastian tore his eyes away from Kurt’s face. Breathe in. Breathe out.

He turned to look at Kurt. Kurt was still looking at him, with an inviting smile and hope-filled eyes. Sebastian hated Kurt, because there was no way he was going to be able to say no to him. He took one more deep breath and smiled.

“Okay, Kurt, As long as we’re not breaking any of your rules.” Sebastian said looking at Kurt’s face crinkling with joy.

Sebastian sat in class as the teacher droned on about algebraic expressions. As much as learning math would surely help him in his future career as a lawyer, Sebastian didn’t really care much about it. He took his phone out and typed in Kurt’s number. He has typed Kurt’s number so many times already; he found it somehow locked inside his head. He stared at his phone. It’s been three days since he slept with Kurt. You see, Sebastian had this three-day rule: Only make contact with the person you slept with after three days from the date you slept together. He didn’t want to look too desperate, but at the same time he didn’t want to be too indifferent. But he had to admit, he was this close to breaking that rule ever since he found Kurt’s number. Luckily, he realized what he was doing at that time and had sense enough to throw the phone away, like it was some viral disease he had to be away from.

“Mr. Smythe.” Sebastian’s thoughts were interrupted by his teacher. “Can you give us the answer to this equation?” Sebastian looked up from his phone not bothering to hide the bored expression on his face. “9x2+30xy+25y2, miss Penelope.” Miss Penelope looked like she was about to snap the pen that she was holding. She cleared her throat and said with grinding teeth, “Correct. Mr. Smythe.” She went back to the lesson.

Sebastian may not care much for Math, but that doesn’t mean he would let it get in the way of his perfect grades. This is just another reason why teachers have a terrible disliking for Sebastian Smythe.

He went back to his phone. All he had to do is send one text message, but why did it feel like the burden of the world was depending on this one text? Sebastian sighed but managed to type in, “Coffee after class? – You know who this is.” Before he pocketed his phone and looked straight at Miss Penelope, giving her the most annoying smirk he could pull off.

The bell rang, Sebastian walked straight out of the room. He took pleasure of the tiny bit of the overly irritated look on Miss Penelope’s face he saw in the corner of his eye before he reached the door. As he walked to his last class for the day, a voice called out for him from behind.

Not what I need right now. Sebastian thought while he walked a little faster. “Hey Sebastian! Wait up!” Blaine eventually caught up to him, His face flushed from running after Sebastian. “What do you want Anderson?” Sebastian said, not trying to hide his disgust. Blaine looked taken back, but shrugged it off. Typical of Sebastian to have random mood swings. “I can’t believe I’m asking you of all people this but…” Blaine sighed. “Just cut to the chase Anderson. I’m running late.” Sebastian was getting impatient. “Okay, okay! Have you… heard from Kurt lately?” The look of worry in Blaine’s eyes was very genuine. Sebastian wanted to puke. But wait. Did Blaine know what happened between him and Kurt the other night? For the first time in his life, Sebastian felt a large amount of nervousness consuming him. Was this an act? Was Blaine screwing him over? Worse, Was Blaine Anderson going to hit him? Sebastian gulped and tried to give an indifferent expression despite the overwhelming paranoia he was feeling right now. “Uh, no. Didn’t you go home with him that night in Scandals? You were pretty drunk.” There was no trace of a lie in his voice. The words rolled out of his mouth as if he was really clueless about it. “Uhm, yes. I think I’ve said some things I’m not really proud of. He hasn’t replied to my texts or answered my calls. I just thought you might have seen him that night… ” Blaine rubbed his temples. He may have his moments of being a complete douche to Kurt, but Sebastian could tell he still really cared so much for their friendship (or whatever they had), to pull in that much effort. “Well, I really have to get to class.” He didn’t want to be around Blaine. He didn’t want any of the “caring for other people” bullshit. Love, it’s just not his thing. He walked away so fast Blaine didn’t have time to say anything more.

Sebastian just had enough time to check his phone before class. 1 new message. He blinked at the screen. It was Kurt’s number. His thumbs scrambled to press open. His eyes scanned it a few times before actually comprehending what was in it.

The message read, “Meet you at four.”

Sebastian felt a big wide grin spread across his face, but it disappeared just as quickly as it appeared. He didn’t want to risk looking like an idiot.

Sebastian sat at the same table where they met. He wanted to order coffee for Kurt too. Only he thought Kurt might find the gesture a little awkward, given they only met three days ago. He looked at his watch. 4:10PM. that’s alright. So Kurt might be running late, it just gave him a little more time to think of what he was going to say.

What was he planning to say to Kurt? Hello, Sleeping with you was fun. We should do it again? Panic started to rise in Sebastian’s body. This was going to be really awkward. Sebastian slept with guys more than once before. But it was easier for him because they did all the asking, and sooner or later they’ll have sex. Why can’t it be that easy with Kurt? What makes him so different from the rest of them?

The tiny bell attached to the door of Lima Bean rang. Sebastian looked up. Kurt walked in, Sebastian stood up, But Kurt didn’t bother giving him a quick glance and went straight to the barista to order his usual. Kurt kept fiddling with his phone, giving an irritated groan every few seconds. His coffee arrived. He took it and sat across Sebastian, All this done while being pre-occupied with his phone. Sebastian can’t help but stare at Kurt’s expressions. He almost wanted to chuckle at how agitated Kurt was getting. Kurt paused to look up as he could feel Sebastian’s eyes on him.

“Mind telling me what you’re so worked up about?” Sebastian teased.

Kurt ignored him but gave up on the person he was texting. He switched off his phone and turned to Sebastian. “Nothing, just Blaine being… Blaine.” Kurt shrugged while taking a sip at his coffee. Sebastian remembered his encounter with Blaine earlier and debated whether he was going to tell Kurt or not. He shifted in his seat and crossed his legs. “You know, Funny thing about Blaine…” Kurt put down his cup and looked directly at Sebastian. “What about Blaine?” His eyes bore into Sebastian’s making him look the other way. “Well. He kind of approached me when I was walking to class and…”

Sebastian paused and grinned at Kurt. “And?” Kurt was annoyed at the face Sebastian liked keeping him hanging.

“And he asked about you.” Kurt choked on the coffee he was drinking. “What?! Why did he ask you? Oh my God, does he… know?” Kurt was breathing faster. Like he was running out of air. All of a sudden Sebastian found himself laying a hand on Kurt’s shoulder. Kurt immediately pulled away. Sebastian sighed and said, “Easy! Easy! No, he doesn’t know. He was worried for you because of the fact that you haven’t returned his messages. He was so desperate he ended up talking to me.”

Kurt exhaled. He put his fingers on his temples to suppress the throbbing nerves on his forehead. For a while, Sebastian just sat there staring at him.

Sebastian knew he could walk away right now. He could have any guy he pointed at because he always got his way. But instead, he chose to remain seated. He could not find it in himself to move because he figured out, At least for the moment, What he wanted was sitting across from him. Is he selfish for meddling into whatever it was between Kurt and Blaine? Yes, but Sebastian realized he was willing to do whatever it takes for Kurt Hummel to be his. Sleeping with him just happened to be an added bonus.

Kurt’s eyes fluttered open. He cleared his throat and began to speak. “Okay. Here’s how it’s gonna go. Uhm… Rules.” Sebastian raised an eyebrow. “Okay, Keep talking.”

“Rule # 1: Don’t tell Blaine or anyone for that matter what we are doing.”

Sebastian scoffed, “Don’t worry, Hummel. I’m not the kind of person to kiss and tell.” Kurt ignores him and continues.

“Rule # 2: The number I gave you is for…” Kurt felt blood rising to his cheeks. “Sex.” Sebastian threw it out there. He was trying real hard not to laugh right now. “Yes, that only. No texting me because you’re bored, or any other fluffy-like relationship stuff.” “Okay, I can go with that.” This was turning out to be better than expected. “And lastly…”

Kurt stood up and walked to where Sebastian was sitting. Kurt leaned in to whisper in Sebastian’s ear. “Don’t fall in love with me.” Sebastian almost dropped his drink as Kurt made his way to the door.

Sebastian realized his mouth was slightly open but immediately closed it just before anyone could see. He smiled to himself as he drank the rest of his coffee. The last rule seemed to be the easiest to follow. Or was it?

Pairing: Kurtbastian

Rating: NC - 17

Summary: Nothing is ever new to Sebastian, He usually gets what he wants, or anyone he wants. But he meets a boy with deep blue eyes that at first intrigues him. He is taken for the ride of his life, as he discovers things inside him that he never dared look twice at before.

Author's Notes: This takes place in the First Time episode when we first met the boy who ruined our lives  Sebastian Smythe. I hope you know there is more to this episode. If you know what I mean. Also, this contains a song from Maroon 5, I urge you to play it to get the all the kurtbastian feels. Feel free to comment!

Sebastian Smythe sipped his hot coffee latte as he gave one more look at Blaine Anderson. He wasn’t even paying attention to the conversation anymore. He was too busy looking at Blaine’s blazer and forming different images at what lay underneath. Blaine stopped talking when another boy sat next to him. Sebastian’s eyes left Blaine’s blazer and turned quickly to the other boy. Now this was more like it. Subtle dark brown hair and those shiny innocent blue eyes, his face looked so smooth, Sebastian wondered if it was as smooth to touch.

“I’m sorry, I forgot I haven’t introduced you,”Blaine said, interrupting Sebastian’s thoughts. “Sebastian, this is Kurt Hummel. He used to go to Dalton too.” Sebastian put out his hand, “Hello Kurt, Pleasure to meet you.” Sebastian said this with a very sexy tone in his voice, he has mastered this and gave a small smile because Kurt noticed this too. Kurt raises his eyebrows a little, but takes Sebastian’s hand and shook it. “Nice to meet you too. ” Sebastian gives a smile that makes Kurt look down, Kurt felt the blood rushing to his face, Kurt lets go and Blaine clears his throat.

Sebastian knows he has heard that voice before, but he can’t exactly point when and where he heard it. He shifts in his seat, and takes another sip of his coffee. “I’m sorry. I just have to ask, Are you two… an item?” Sebastian is straight to the point, he never did like playing around the bush.

Both Blaine and Kurt give a knowing look at each other but laughed it off. “No, we did date for a while, but it didn’t work out, we decided to just remain friends after.” Blaine answered, patting Kurt on the shoulder. They were obviously very comfortable with each other. Sebastian didn’t know if this was a good thing or a bad thing. One thing he knew he was certain, he had to see Kurt Hummel again.

A phone rang, Blaine looked at the caller ID and said, “I have to take this. Be right back.” Blaine stood up and left Kurt and Sebastian alone. Sebastian wasted no time, looked Kurt in the eye and said, “I know you’ve probably heard this a lot, but can I have your number?” Sebastian gave that smile the no one he has met in his life have ever said no to. Kurt puts down his coffee and raises an eyebrow, “And what makes you think that I would give you my number, we just met and I’m sorry that smile really isn’t doing anything for me, so just cut it.” Kurt takes another sip of his coffee. No doubt he has a clear image of Sebastian in his head. He has seen this type of guy before and he doesn’t want anything to do with him. The smile on Sebastian’s lips disappears. Maybe there is more to this Kurt Hummel than he thought.

Blaine returned to his seat and turned to Kurt, “It was Rachel, she said she can’t come to our sleepover tonight. Guess it’s just the two of us.” Sebastian coughed, “As much as exciting your plans for tonight sounds, Can I invite you two to Scandals instead?” “Scandals?” Kurt asked, intrigued. “It’s a gay bar.” Blaine’s eyebrows furrow. “We can’t go Sebastian, Kurt’s not ready for that yet.” Kurt shuffles in his seat, “What? Wait hold on. I want to go. It sounds fun.” Kurt ignores the look that Blaine gives him and stare straight at Sebastian, “I’m in.” Sebastian smiles, “Great, see you at around nine tonight. Don’t forget your fake IDs.” Sebastian stands up and walks out of the Lima Bean, He’s got Kurt exactly where he wants him.

“Kurt. I have a bad feeling about this.” Blaine says as they walk near the entrance of Scandals. “Come on Blaine, loosen up a little. I want to see what this Sebastian guy has to bring to the table. Let’s just have fun!” Kurt grabs Blaine’s hand as the ID checker gives them a passing nod. Blaine stops Kurt, “Wait, don’t tell me you like Sebastian.” Kurt looks back at Blaine, “Don’t be silly. You of all people know I’m not that easy. Now come on! We’re missing all the fun.” Kurt tugs on Blaine again, and Blaine finally gives in.  As they enter, Kurt thought it wasn’t so bad. For once, no one was staring at them, Kurt was about to approach the bar when Sebastian turned up. “Hey! Glad you made it.” Kurt unconsciously let go of Blaine’s hand. “Oh, hello. I’m just going to get some drinks. Be right back.” Kurt hurried to the bar, while leaving Sebastian and Blaine alone. Blaine crossed his arms as his eyes narrowed towards Sebastian, “What are you up to Sebastian?” Sebastian merely shrugged and said, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” “I’ll be keeping my eyes on you.” Blaine says. “What’s new, Blaine?” Sebastian laughs. Kurt comes back with drinks, “Drink up guys, This is going to be a night to remember… or not.” Kurt gives them each a bottle, raises his and says, “To new beginnings.” The three of them drink it whole.

A few more drinks later, a familiar song comes up. “Ohmygodohmygodohmygod, I love this song! Blaine dance with me.” Kurt tugs on Blaine, but Blaine remains seated. “No Kurt I have to sit this one out.” Kurt’s face fell, but then someone tugs his arm. “Let’s go Hummel.” Sebastian says.

I was so high I did not recognize

The fire burning in her eyes

The chaos that controlled my mind

Kurt hesitates but sooner or later he gives in. Kurt dances with Sebastian. Maybe it was the drinks, or maybe it was just the song, but for the first time Kurt noticed how Sebastian wasn’t so bad.

Oh, This love has taken it’s toll on me

She said goodbye too many times before.

“I think Blaine still likes you Kurt.” Sebastian says, not a trace of hesitation in his voice. “I know, but what’s it to you.” They continue dancing, their bodies edging closer. “Well, His plan to getting you back isn’t really working well is it.” “Oh shut up.” Kurt dances, Not noticing how their bodies were turning out to be.

I tried my best to feed her appetite

Keep him coming every night

So hard to keep her satisfied

“You deserve better, you can do better.” Sebastian saysm although he doesn’t know if Kurt is even paying attention to him yet. Suddenly Kurt looks up, “Oh yea? Like Who?”

I’ll fix these broken things

Repair your broken wings

And make sure everything’s alright

Sebastian leans in closer to Kurt as he takes Kurt’s waist from behind, Kurt could feel Sebastian’s breath close to his neck.

My pressure on your hips

Sink in my fingertips

Sebastian whispers, “Like Me.” Kurt gasps as he feels Sebastian’s hand lowering to his thigh.

Every inch of you,

‘cause I know that’s what you want me to do

Kurt snaps out of it as Blaine comes to his side, ending his guilty little trip with Sebastian. “You guys are awesome, I love you guys.” Kurt distances himself from Sebastian. “Looks like someone has way to many drinks.” Kurt turns to Sebastian, “I need to take him home.” Blaine can’t stand straight. “You have blue eyes. I like your eyes. Do you know you have blue eyes?” Blaine laughs and loses his balance. Kurt grabs him, and takes Blaine’s arm and puts it over his neck. “It’s been fun. Uhm, see you.” Kurt didn’t look at Sebastian as he dragged Blaine out of the bar. Sebastian follows them but quickly stops in his tracks. Why is he running after them, Kurt doesn’t mean anything to him. Sebastian sits back at the bar and orders another drink.

Meanwhile outside, Kurt reaches the car. “Kurt you’re the best. I love you, you know that. You should love me too.” Blaine says as Kurt tries to put him in the car. “Awww, Kurt, Whatever happened to us. We’re so perfect with each other.” Blaine’s mouth was trailing over Kurt’s neck, it took Kurt every ounce of willpower to pull away. “Okay, okay that’s enough for now Blaine.” Kurt shoves him gently to the car but finds himself being pulled in by Blaine. “We should do it Kurt. You and me right here right now.” Blaine starts pulling Kurt’s shirt off. “No, no. You can’t pull me in like this, we’re over Blaine. Remember?” Kurt steps out of the car, Blaine follows. “Fine, Kurt. Be that way.” Blaine walks out of the car, “I’m sorry for trying to love you again. That’s your problem Kurt. You never let anyone in.” Kurt feels tears stinging in his eyes, “Wait! Blaine.” “Don’t bother, I could walk alone.” Blaine stomps off in a fit of rage. Kurt is hurt, probably because there was more truth to what Blaine just said. Kurt drops his keys, he leans over to pick them up but finds someone else beating him to it. Kurt looks up and finds Sebastian dangling his keys. “Just give it Sebastian. I’m tired.” Sebastian frowns but didn’t have it in him to see Kurt struggle, plus he didn’t enjoy his misery that much when he knew he wasn’t the one that was causing it. “Had a fight with the old boyfriend?” “Don’t even go there, He’s not my boyfriend. We dated, period.” Kurt opens the car door, but Sebastian closes it after. “What is your deal Sebastian?” Kurt was too tired for this. Sebastian looked at those shiny blue eyes staring up at him. He stepped closer, “What happened to the bar, what was that leading to.” Kurt was flustered, he didn’t dare look at Sebastian. “No, I’m tired okay.” Sebastian leaned over, “Come on Kurt Hummel, I’m going to take you for a ride.” Kurt was frozen on the spot as Sebastian kissed him. It was swift and sweet. Everything Kurt did not expect. Kurt found himself kissing back as Sebastian touched his face. Kurt’s hands found their way to Sebastian’s neck, He realized that this was nice, and he was enjoying it. Kurt pulled away, out of breath, but whispered his mouth, devastatingly close to Sebastian’s ear, “Just this once.”

They found themselves in Sebastian’s bedroom only not on the bed, Kurt was against the door as Sebastian pushed him even more. Sebastian took of Kurt’s shirt, and his pants while Kurt worked on Sebastian’s. Suddenly, Kurt grabbed Sebastian by the shoulders and dragged him to his bed. He lay on top of him and said, “I take control. I always do.”Kurt didn’t waste his time. He groped Sebastian’s hair as his lips found Sebastian’s. Sebastian was gasping for breath, but Kurt was just starting. Kurt gave him a villainous smile, as he moved towards Sebastian’s legs to get rid of the rest of his pants. Sebastian moaned at the things he never thought Kurt Hummel could or would do.

He looked up at Kurt, those blue eyes were the same ones, only Sebastian found himself in a deeper level in them, he discovered a whole new depth. Kurt Hummel has more than one side to him, like his bottomless eyes, he has countless layers.

Sebastian dreamt of Kurt that night. He dreamt about peeling the layers Kurt had to give. He dreamt about the endless possibilities.

Sebastian woke up to the sunlight hitting his eyes, He turned to the other side of his bed only to find that Kurt Hummel has disappeared. Sebastian felt an unusual feeling of disappointment. Probably because he was usually the one who left first. Sebastian turned to his side again, but was surprised to find a note waiting for him on his night stand labeled Just In Case.

Sebastian reached out and opened it, written on it was a number, signed by Kurt.

Blaine Anderson didn’t expect how welcome he would be in the Smythe’s household. Actually, it was a miracle he pushed through with the visit in the first place.

Earlier that week.

In the Anderson’s residence

“Blaine, son, are you a hundred percent sure you’re going through with this?” asks Mr. Anderson, looking intently at his son with deep concern.

“I’ve never been sure of anything else dad.” Blaine answers with a smile.

“Have you ever thought they might not be welcome to the idea of meeting you?” his father retorts, his expression unreadable

“Dad, I’ve had a lot of time to think about this. It’s been a year, and ever since waking up from the accident, I never thought twice about meeting them. I have to dad, I owe it to them that much.”

“But these are people you’ve never even met. They’re complete strangers!” his father’s tone, rising.

“Dad, don’t you think you’re over thinking this?” Blaine says with a playful laugh.

“Well, ever since your.. incident, you know I’ve been kind of...  protective over you. ” Mr. Anderson sighs. “Okay! Okay. If it means that much to you, I’ll let you go. But if anything happens, you’ve got my number on speed dial. ” his father says, finally surrendering.

“Thank you dad.” Blaine pulls his father in a tight hug. “I just can’t stand the thought of losing you again son.” His father whispers, giving him a pat in the back.

“So.. Blaine, what do you do for a living? ” Diana interrupts Blaine’s thoughts. “I… uhm. I’m a landscape architect. ” Blaine says with a shy smile.

Then his attention is directed to Kurt, who has been awfully silent during the whole lunch. “Uhm.. May I ask, Kurt what do you do for a living?”

Kurt looks up, trying hard not to feel Blaine’s eyes on him, he flushes and looks down on his food.

“I’m a doctor, but...” Kurt answers and gives a slight cough.  “I’ve been out of practice for a while.”

“Oh...” Blaine didn’t want to ask why, he felt like he was intruding. He decided to shift to another topic.

“So, could you tell me what Sebastian was like?” Blaine asked, turning to Diana.

Diana was about to speak when little Quinn speaks up. “Sebastian is the NICEST person you could meet. He plays with me anytime I want. ” Quinn says with a big smile spread across her face.

“Sebastian is very determined to get the things he wants. That’s why he managed to catch Kurt over here.” Diana smiles, trying to break the tension.

Mark and Quinn laugh together. Kurt blushes, and gives a chuckle.

“Yes, Sebastian IS the best when getting the things he wants.” Kurt adds.

Blaine is amazed every time Kurt speaks up. For some reason, He wants to know more about Kurt. “So Kurt, where did you and Sebastian meet?”

“We met at med school.” Kurt hesitates, but continues. “ I was such a nerd back then. Too busy chasing my dreams, never having time for love. That is, until I met Sebastian of course.” Kurt felt a little more comfortable. He finally plucks up the courage to look at Blaine.

Blaine Anderson doesn’t look anything like Sebastian Smythe. Sebastian has spiky brown hair, striking green eyes and always wears a smile in his face. Blaine, on the other hand, has tamed jet black hair, hazel brown eyes, but he does have the biggest smile that makes Kurt want to smile too.

“He’s charming and witty. I can’t remember how many times I said ‘No’ to him asking me out. But Sebastian, he never gave up on me. He had a way with words, until I finally said yes. We went out for a first date, then a second, and then I couldn’t count anymore.” A smile pulls on the corners of Kurt’s lips. “When we finally graduated, he proposed.” He pauses and wipes a tear falling from his eyes. “I could never explain how happy I was with him. I could never see myself with anybody else. Because Sebastian was everything I could ever ask for… and more.”

The tears kept falling more and more until Kurt stood up. “I’m sorry I need a moment.” He turned to leave when Blaine got up and grabbed him by the wrist. “Kurt, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to. I…” but before Blaine could finish, Kurt withdrew his wrist. “No, It’s not your fault Blaine. It’s mine.” Kurt forces a smile to reassure Blaine, but Blaine could see through it. “I’ll make it up to you Kurt. I will.” Blaine says. And Kurt manages to catch a glimpse of his deep hazel brown eyes and knows he means it.

Kurt continues to the living room, climbs up the stairs and rushes to the room he all knows too well. He collapses unto the mattress and cries on Sebastian’s pillow. He’s been holding back so much for the past month, he thought he was starting to heal. He was almost there. Then this Blaine Anderson shows up and cuts the wound open. Kurt knows Blaine means well, but he can’t put his emotions towards Blaine exactly. Blaine doesn’t look anything like Sebastian, but why does Blaine remind him so much of Sebastian? Why does Blaine’s presence make Kurt feel lighter? As if all the heavy grief he felt suddenly just leaves him?

Kurt hugs Sebastian’s pillow, clutches it tightly to his chest, as if never wanting to let it go. He closes his eyes, and dozes off..

“Kurt! Kurt!” a voice shouts from behind. Oh no, it’s him again. I’ll just pretend I didn’t hear him. Kurt thought. “Kurt! Kurt, I know you can hear me! Kurt, you know you can’t run away from me. Oh come on, don’t run!” the voice begs. Kurt still walks a little faster. He would run but he didn’t want to mess up his uniform. “Gaaaah!!” Kurt shouts, surprised to see Sebastian managing to have caught up with him. Gasping like he’s going to collapse. “Kurt Hummel, I swear! The. Things. I do. for you.” Sebastian says, gasping between the words, but still smiling as he does. “What? I didn’t tell you to run or anything!” Kurt answers him, half amused. “Well, it doesn’t matter. Anyway, I’ve been meaning to ask you something for a long time now. But you’ve been so busy and pre-occupied these past few days, I couldn’t get the chance to talk to you properly. It’s… ” Sebastian pauses. “…almost like you were avoiding me.” Kurt feels the blood rushing to his face.  “Sebastian no, I have a lot of things to do lately.” Kurt looks down, he doesn’t want to stare at Sebastian’s gaze, it makes him want to melt. “Well, I just wanted to ask you… I’ve been wanting to ask you. If… you want to go out with me? Kurt Hummel, I know you have a lot on your plate these days, and I know you’ve probably said no to me for like a bunch of times. But it would mean the world to me if you gave me a chance.” Sebastian flashes that breathtaking smile. Kurt gives up and says, “Okay.” “Okay?” “OKAY!!” Sebastian felt like the happiest man on earth, He grabbed Kurt’s hands and said. “Thank you Kurt! You won’t regret this! I promise.” Sebastian takes off, jumping up and down. And Kurt can’t help but giggle watching him.

A tear trickles down Kurt’s cheek, as he wakes up to another day.

Blaine loves the wind in his hair. The feel of the track beneath his feet. The sweat beads that run through his entire body. He loves every bit of it. He has been running ever since he started high school. Never imagined he’d bag seven gold medals when he graduated. Now, Blaine runs for the sake of running. He could think of everything when he’s running, peaceful and gives the jolt of adrenaline rush at the same time. And when he sprints for the final lap, it almost feels like he’s flying.

Out of breath, he heads to his bag and grabs his towel. Sweat dripping all over his face and arms. But as he wipes his  face, he feels a sudden thump in his chest. With that, Blaine Anderson falls to the ground, gasping for air, and.. everything goes dark.

“Blaine! ”

The sound of wheels, people communicating words he can’t comprehend, his father’s voice. Everything was a blur. Blaine wanted to open his eyes, to tell his dad that he was fine. But he can’t. The throbbing in his chest forces him to lie still. The pain? Excruciating.

“Blaine.. son. We got a donor. You’re going to be fine, you hear me? Make it out of the surgery. You will have a strong heart soon. I love you.”

A year later.

                At  the Smythe’s residence.

“Quinn! Stop playing and go help set the table. We’re having guests over!” yelled Diana. Looking at Diana, you’ll never realize she’s already in her late 40s, and mother of 2. “I’m coming mom!” the seven year old Quinn, with her locks of lush blonde hair came to her mother’s side. Kissed her mother and smiled as she went to get the spoons and forks from the drawer.

After setting up the table, Quinn looks at her mom with her innocent emerald eyes and says.. “Mom.. should I call him?” Diana takes a moment and nods. Quinn playfully runs out the kitchen, towards the backyard where she saw him sitting on a chair thinking of something. The sad look in his eyes never left ever since a year ago. Quinn hesitates for a moment, bites her lip and finally approaches this depressed person she has known to come and love. “Kurtie!” she says with a smile and sits on his lap.  Kurt Hummel smiles at little Quinn. He strokes her blonde curly hair and sighs. “Kurtie, you’re thinking of him again aren’t you?” Quinn looks up. Kurt sighs. “I just miss your brother so much Quinnie.” Quinn takes Kurt’s hand and squeezes it and whispers. “I miss him too Kurtie.”               Quinn jumps off Kurt’s knee and heads to the kitchen and comes back smiling. “Mommy says he’s coming today!”

Kurt raises an eyebrow. Confused. “Who?”

“You know that guy! He’s coming today! He’s almost here!” Quinn delighted so much by the news. She takes Kurt’s hand and tugs him. “Come on, you have to meet him when he arrives Kurtie! Maybe he’s like Sebastian! ” Kurt lets go of little Quinn. To Kurt’s realization and dismay, He didn’t expect him coming today. He really didn’t want to meet him,  but Sebastian’s family was too open to not say Yes when he called the other day. Kurt takes a deep breath and follows Quinn to the kitchen.

“I didn’t know he was coming today. ” Kurt says to Diana. Diana looks at Kurt with hopeful eyes. “Me neither honey, but he called this morning and said he had to meet us today.” Quinn was jumping up and down. “I’m so excited mommy! I wonder what he’s like!”

Kurt doesn’t know what to feel about this, He’s not ready to meet him yet! Maybe he doesn’t want to! Kurt wants to go home, before he arrives. He wants nothing to do with him. As Kurt gets up from his chair, The doorbell rings.

Quinn, Diana and Kurt look at each other. “I’ll go get your father upstairs.” Diana says to Quinn as she walked out of the kitchen. Quinn nods and grabs Kurt’s hand. “Do you think we’ll like him Kurtie?” Quinn looks at Kurt, with her eyes full of questions. “I don’t know Quinnie, we haven’t even met him yet.” Kurt answers. “What if he doesn’t like us? What if he doesn’t come after today?” Quinn asks with a very worried expression on her face. “Well, if there was ever a person that doesn’t like this little angel..” says Kurt pinching Quinn on the nose. “.. That person doesn’t deserve to know this perfect little girl!” Quinn gives a big hug to Kurt and sits on his lap again. The doorbell rings again.

Diana and Mark  came down the stairs. They looked at each other for one more time, before finally opening the door and letting the stranger in. “Hello.” says the smiling stranger. “I’m Blaine Anderson.” As he offers his hand to shake Diana’s. Diana and Mark can’t help but be awestruck. This person standing in front of them has their late son’s heart. Diana fights the urge to cry. Blaine’s presence reminds her so much of Sebastian. Mark shakes Blaine’s hand, speechless. Diana shakes his hand as well, and goes in for a hug. It felt like she was hugging her baby. Tears rolling in her eyes. “Thank you for coming. I can’t tell you how much this means to us.” Diana says. Oblivious to how awkward Blaine feels.

“Mommy?” Quinn’s voice echoes from inside the house, curious as to why her mother was hugging a complete stranger. Diana lets go of Blaine, wipes her tears and walks to her daughter. “Honey, meet Blaine.” Quinn stares up the stranger. It only takes a second for her to run and hug his knees. “Sebastian, I missed you!” Quinn cries.  Blaine, still confused, didn’t know what to do.

Quinn then lets go and grabs Blaine’s hand. “I want you to meet somebody.” She says with the brightest smile. They walk to the kitchen but Kurt wasn’t there. Where could he be? Then Quinn gets an idea, “Come on Sebastian, I know where he is!”

Quinn runs to the backyard, and there sitting on the white chair, is Kurt. Quinn hurries to Kurt, with Blaine on hold. “Kurt, look it’s Sebastian!”Quinn says with delight. Kurt looks at the stranger,  he dresses nice, gelled hair, and a bowtie? Definitely not Sebastian. Kurt stands up, hesitates for a bit but finally offers a hand. Blaine takes it, and as soon as their hands touch. Kurt draws his hand back. This can’t be. Why does holding this stranger’s hand feel like holding Sebastian’s?

“Uhm, I think we got off the wrong track. I’m Blaine Anderson. The one who received Sebastian’s heart. And you are?  ” Blaine says with a cheerful smile. “I.. I’m..” Kurt is speechless. What Blaine just said, it’s just too.. unreal. Quinn speaks up, “Oh.. I’m sorry I called you Sebastian. I’m Quinn! Sebastian’s little sister.” Quinn offers her tiny hand and Blaine shakes it. “Nice to meet you Quinn.” Blaine turns back to Kurt. “And you must be..” “Kurt Hummel. Sebastian’s ex fiancé.”
